1. Melt Into Your Surroundings like this Kennesaw, GA Fire Pit

For this homeowner’s backyard, we designed a 1,500 square foot paver patio using Pavestone Brand pavers. We then made the fire pit its “own room” by outlining the spot with larger pavers.

4-ft wide flagstone steps descend from the side of the house into the outdoor living area creating a flow of traffic throughout the space to the outdoor kitchen with covered pavilion.

Natural stone finger boulders outline the entire outdoor living space making the space feel like an extension of the woods around it.

2. Fully Custom Build from Acworth, GA

Let’s talk about fully custom builds. Maybe you’ve perused the products over at our friends Belgard, but still weren’t fully convinced on color or shape.

Don’t sweat. For this backyard in Acworth the client wanted their fire pit and square seating wall to match the existing brick and stonework on their home.

We tracked down the original manufacturer of the homeowner’s brick siding and utilized a “messy” mortar application to give this client the backyard of their dreams.

3. Gas-Burning Fire Pit at Night in Kennesaw, Georgia

If you have a thick woodsy Georgia backyard, you can position your fire pit toward the trees for the ultimate outdoor experience.

This Kennesaw homeowner has taken a once unusable backyard into a living area their family can enjoy from day to night and season to season.

The photo above was actually texted to us from our client enjoying their new fire pit a few days after it was built. If you’re loving your backyard from Dogwood, either text Jason @ 678 368 7000 or email us at jason@dogwoodlandscaping.net and let us know!

4. Contrast With Bold Pavers Like This Roswell, Georgia Backyard

Perhaps you want to incorporate a pop of color for your paver patio. For this Roswell homeowner, we used multi-color clay pavers to lay the groundwork for the round wood burning fire pit and outdoor living area.

We also built out a small outdoor kitchen area equipped with Coyote Brand Gas Grill and Side Burner, preparation and presentation space, and storage areas atop this red brick patio – bringing the comfort of indoor culinary skills to the backyard.

5. Dallas, Georgia Close Up on Round Fire Pit with Seating Wall

All of our patio and fire pit builds come with character and functionality.

This seating wall is placed close enough for the family to comfortably enjoy the heat from the fire pit.

We also suggest making all of your “vertical” surfaces on a build, the same color and material, just like this fire pit and seating wall.

6. Mix & Match Shapes like this Dallas, GA homeowner did

You don’t always have to choose between a square or round fire pit and patio combination. Sometimes contrasting the two shapes is the best design for your backyard.

From this view, you can see why we positioned the seating wall and fire pit, to view and use the small putting green in the backyard.

7. Working Around Existing Elements in Kennesaw, Georgia

Do you have an existing fire pit , but not the patio?  Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

This project needed to incorporate some existing structures. It also needed to accommodate a small outdoor kitchen.

We built a small sitting wall out of natural stone, to match the new outdoor grill area and reused the clients existing fire pit.

8. Cuddle Around The Fire Under The Trees in Kennesaw, Georgia

This fire pit is perfect for nestling up under in the trees, roasting some marshmallows, putting the screens away and connecting with your family and friends.

For homeowners that want a more “natural” feel to their fire pit area, we can use decorative gravel and stone for the patio, and still have enough seating for your family away from the home.

Depending on what city you live in, you may need to adhere to the local ordinances. Whoever you use to work on your backyard projects, make sure the contractor knows the specific rules and guidelines where you live.

9. Beautiful Kennesaw, GA Fire Pit in Outdoor Kitchen

We tucked this fire pit up above a custom outdoor kitchen build – giving this Kennesaw homeowner two distinct spaces for outdoor entertaining.

They can host family and friends around the fire while they grill out just a few steps away. Using our popular medium stack fieldstone and crab orchard flagstone to match the fire pit area!

The fire pit is another one of our traditional wood burning fire pits.

10. Creating Separate Rooms for Your Outdoor Living Area

For this round patio and fire pit build in Kennesaw, we wanted to create a seamless outdoor living area with distinct “rooms” of sort.

Basically each paver here had to be custom cut so it pointed to the middle of the circle area. Totally worth it to create a separate room for your family and friends to gather around a fire, while not being totally separate from the outdoor kitchen just a few feet away.

If you look closely, you can also see a water feature which was a late add-in using left over stone we had from the job. For a more in depth look at this project, check out our Youtube video here!
